Halloween safety in Pasco: Check the registry map before trick-or-treating
Check Pasco’s sex offender registry map, plan your trick-or-treat route and review these Halloween safety tips before your family heads out.

Before the costumes go on and the candy bags come out, take a few minutes to plan your family’s Halloween route. Pasco Community’s sex offender registry map lets you search your neighborhood, explore reported addresses and view individual records without leaving our website.
Start with the streets your family plans to visit. Search by street, city or ZIP code, then zoom in and select a pin to see the associated names and information. You can also search the database by name.
The database currently uses a Florida Department of Law Enforcement file supplied October 31, 2026. It is a dated snapshot, and some searchable records do not have a map pin. An area without pins should not be treated as a guarantee of safety.
Checking the database is one part of planning. Staying together, choosing a familiar route and watching traffic matter at every stop.
Before your family heads out:
- Plan who is going and where. Decide which streets to visit, where to meet if someone gets separated and when everyone should be home.
- Keep younger children with an adult. Safe Kids Worldwide recommends accompanying children younger than 12. Older children who are ready to go without an adult should stay in groups and stick to familiar, well-lit areas.
- Make costumes easy to see and walk in. Add reflective material to clothing or treat bags, carry a flashlight or glow stick, and check that costumes will not cause trips. Keep children’s vision clear.
- Set a clear doorstep rule. Children should stay outside homes and vehicles, remain with their group and tell their accompanying adult if something makes them uncomfortable.
- Put phones away while crossing. Use sidewalks and cross at intersections or crosswalks. Watch for turning vehicles and cars backing out of driveways.
Drivers have a role, too. Slow down through neighborhoods, put distractions away and watch closely around parked cars and intersections. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reminds drivers that excited trick-or-treaters may enter the road unexpectedly.
Before leaving home, open the Pasco sex offender registry map, review your route and talk through the plan with your children. Then keep the group together and enjoy the evening.
