Board of County Commissioners

The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)is the legislative and governing body of Pasco County. Five commissioners are elected countywide to represent individual districts. The board sets the county budget, establishes local ordinances, approves land-use decisions, and oversees county services. As an unincorporated area, communities like Wesley Chapel, Land O' Lakes, and Zephyrhills are governed directly by the BOCC.

BOCC Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held most Tuesdays at 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM (alternating schedule) at the West Pasco Government Center, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey. Meetings are open to the public and livestreamed on Pasco TV and YouTube.

Constitutional Officers

Florida's constitution establishes five independently elected county officers, each serving a four-year term. These officials operate their own offices and budgets, separate from the Board of County Commissioners. They are accountable directly to Pasco County voters.

Pasco County School Board

The District School Board of Pasco Countyoversees one of Florida's largest school districts with over 80,000 students across 100+ schools. The board sets district policy, approves the budget, and hires the Superintendent. Five board members are elected by district.

All Board of County Commissioners meetings are open to the public. Attend in person at the West Pasco Government Center or watch live on Pasco TV and YouTube. Public comment periods are available at each meeting.
