Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken began serving customers on Wednesday, May 20, becoming the sixth tenant to open at The Hub at Lexington, the new $24 million retail and dining center taking shape off Wesley Chapel Boulevard near Interstate 75.

The Hub at Lexington is being developed by siblings Courtney Bissett-Hayes and Paul Bissett of Center Connect Development, the same team behind The Hub at Bexley, a 44,000-square-foot retail village that opened in Land O’Lakes in 2022. Based on information released publicly, the Wesley Chapel project covers roughly 40,000 square feet across six buildings, anchored by an outdoor gathering area shaded by nine artificial trees. The developer’s public-facing tagline for the center is “Sip, Savor and Socialize.”
Bonchon’s May 20 debut brings the number of tenants currently open to six, with several more confirmed concepts still working toward their own opening dates. According to information released publicly by the developer, more than a dozen tenants have signed leases, with a Grand Opening event still being planned.
Bonchon Brings a Full-Service Korean Concept to Wesley Chapel
Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken is now open at 27093 Halter Loop, marking the global brand’s second location in the Tampa Bay area and its first full-service restaurant locally. Unlike the existing fast-casual Bonchon on East Fletcher Avenue, the Wesley Chapel restaurant has been built out as a sit-down concept with table service, a roughly 70-seat dining room, an outdoor patio and a full bar.
The menu features Bonchon’s signature double-fried wings, drumsticks and boneless chicken in six sauces, along with bibimbap, bulgogi bowls, japchae glass noodles, dumplings, bao buns, Korean tacos, tteokbokki and Korean corn dogs. According to information released publicly, both Bonchon locations in the Tampa Bay area share the same ownership group.
Bonchon was founded in Busan, South Korea, and has grown to roughly 150 U.S. restaurants and close to 500 worldwide.
What’s Open at The Hub Right Now
With Bonchon now serving customers, six tenants are open at The Hub at Lexington.
Headlines Barber Shop
Headlines Barber Shop, at 27053 Halter Loop, was the first tenant to open its doors at The Hub. The local barber chain operates roughly a dozen locations across the Tampa Bay area. The Wesley Chapel shop can be reached at (813) 428-5034, or online at HeadlinesBarbersTampaBay.com.
La Creacion Bistro
La Creacion Bistro was the first restaurant to open at The Hub. It serves as a sister concept to La Creacion Express inside the KRATEs in Wesley Chapel, offering a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu that differs from the express location at the container park.
The Clubhouse Golf Simulator
The Clubhouse is owned by brothers and Wesley Chapel High School graduates Mark and Tyler Ward. The indoor golf simulator lets players take on virtual rounds at well-known courses, from Augusta National to local layouts like Heritage Isles Country Club. According to information released publicly by the owners, more than 200 people had tried the venue during its first weeks, with several signing up for memberships. Local PGA-certified instructors are also expected to be available for lessons on site. The Clubhouse can be reached at (813) 904-2867 or online at Clubhouse.golf.
Pet Wants
Pet Wants is operated by franchise owner Nickole Davis, who previously ran All Good Things Gifts at the KRATEs. The roughly two-decade-old national pet chain carries fresh dog and cat food, treats, chews, wellness products and pet care items across about 100 locations nationwide. For more information, call (813) 586-1440 or visit PetWantsWesleyChapel.com.
Lexington Nail Lab
Lexington Nail Lab, located at 27105 Halter Loop next to Bonchon, is also now serving clients. The salon advertises long-wear nail services, professional technique and a modern salon environment. It can be reached at (352) 691-6073.

Saigon Pho, a Vietnamese restaurant from the same owners as the Banh Mi shop at The Hub at Bexley, is targeting a July opening, according to information released publicly. Other concepts that have been announced for The Hub at Lexington include:

Why It Matters for Wesley Chapel
The Hub at Lexington adds another mixed-use destination to Wesley Chapel’s fast-growing retail map, joining nearby concepts like The Hub at Bexley, the KRATEs and the larger retail clusters around Wiregrass and along State Road 54. For residents in the surrounding neighborhoods — including the nearby Lexington Oaks community — the project represents a walkable collection of locally and nationally operated businesses, several of which are first-to-the-area concepts, built around an outdoor gathering space designed to host live music, pop-up events and seasonal programming once the center is fully open.
